This world cup was also memorable for Africa because for the first time any African nation hosted this world cup. Africa left Egypt and Morocco behind in the race for hosting this tournament. During the matches, everyone’s eyes were mainly on two soccer teams, Argentina and Germany because these were the two teams who were consistently performing well. But to their bad luck, Netherlands and Spain entered the finals. The best thing at the tournament was that each and every team played fairly without breaking any rules of soccer. Everyone was hoping Netherlands to win but Spain turned the game upside down and made a goal in the last time and became the FIFA world cup winner for the first time.

This tournament was a treat to watch where legendary soccer teams settled scores with their opponents and with the exciting matches and ever cheering spectators, this event turned out to be a grand success. Each and every team tried to maintain the dignity of the game by not violating any rules of soccer. History was written with golden feathers and hardly the soccer world would have witnessed such a grandeur event.
